Whether she's dressed up on the red carpet or dressed down for a stroll around Santa Monica, Kate Beckinsale exemplifies classic chic. Scrolling through photo after photo of her, I can tell she's a girl after my own heart. I actually saw her at Intermix in LA this past spring and she's just as lovely and gorgeous in person (love that accent!). She scrolled through the racks herself, as her husband Len Wiseman waited patiently, and took it all in stride when she was mugged by paparazzi as she walked out the door.This British babe looooves wearing classic shades, especially black and white. And she knows exactly how to flatter her figure. Pull simple bustier or tank from closet. Pair it with A-line skirt. Add wide belt in contrasting color. Slip on favorite heels. It's the perfect style recipe guaranteed to work every time. The white strapless YSL bustier and skirt look so heavenly on her, and the belt cinches her waist to make it almost invisible! The black round-toe pumps (YSL too!) pull it all together. And again, when wearing strapless, always always wear your hair up and your most stunning earrings.
Dressing down for Kate is still wearing a skirt, and she pulls off this mini perfectly by using her same no-fail recipe of tank+cute skirt+wide belt.
Go ahead and try it for yourself! For night, add a jacket and take it off once inside. And for day, make it long-sleeved (even a fitted button down) and slip on tights. Chic sister!
