The Patent Trench

Whether it's allover patent like Carrie Underwood's style or just trimmed with it like Ashley Tisdale's version, the classic trench coat is as popular as ever this season. The colder the weather gets outside, the more important it is to find a striking coat. After all, people see it more than your outfit, especially in cities like NY where you walk everywhere. The trench coat is such a flattering style on everyone, and the patent adds that extra panache. The double-breasted collar, button details and belted waistline scream true fashionista. The longer length is appropriate for any occasion and for the daring can even make for a great dress on it's own (oy!). Wear it with stunning heels and show off those great gams. They're shown in black and gray here, but take a walk on the wild side and sport one in red or yellow. Because if you're gonna battle the weather out there, do it in style.

P.S. Check out this patent trench I found on ebay by Michael Kors. I have my own MICHAEL Michael Kors version and love, love, love it! (The only minus is the squeaking noise the patent makes when my arms graze my side!)
