Chic in the Sun

I've been hooked on Michael Stars since I was practically in junior high (to my husband: this is a designer, honey). The line is so classic, everyone can wear it. And that goes for their newly-launched eyewear collection, too. For spring 2009, there are three styles of shades ($88 each), but I'm really crushing on the Dolce Vida style here (couldn't it be the name, too? so fab.) It's the fun and hip aviator (I'm not downing the aviator, but hey, can't it be a little more fun and a little more hip sometimes?). The orchid hue is just to die for!

Wear these in the sun (99.9% UV protection) alllll the time - wear them with everything! So much cooler than those old black plastic things you've been wearing for years, no offense.

P.S. The line even includes optical/reading glasses in several styles, too. Check them out here!

This pair of sunglasses is really great, I love it! It's just that I don't know how much protection you can get, since their color is so bright.

I like the color, the shape, the feeling they transmit. These glasses are truly beautiful!

Cool, but I wonder if they're a little too Elton John-ish.

Don't just focus on the lenses color, but also on the frames of the glasses. This is the elementthat truuly gives them their beauty.

What better way to accessorize and look good in summer than wearing a fashionable pair of sunglasses?

I'm only into sunglasses when sports is in discussion. The eyewear needs to fit your game, and not the other way round.

While stock eyewear frames will work for most of us, personally, I want more. More colors, retro design, or even just something extra special or that has meaning for me.

When it comes to fashionable eyewear, I prefer colored contact lenses, rather than sunglasses.

I would also say that colored, cheap contact lenses are a better way to show up.

I would never give up my pair of sunglasses, always admired and appreciated for some contact lenses.

Unfortunately, too many people care about being "chic in the sun". Safety and protection is a lot more important when talking about wearing sunglasses!

Like it's not enough that people gave up wearing glasses in favor of contact lenses, they will now wear sunglasses less and less in favor of colored contacts.

I don't think people will stop wearing sunglasses in order to wear colored contact lenses. The purposes of the two items are very different, they don't exclude each other.

Moreover, not just to show off, but also, you can wear colored contact lenses in the winter as well. And they are cheap too.
