NY Fashion Week F/W 2010: Pamella Roland
Pamella Roland is a fav of celebs on the red carpet – and we’re sort of obsessed with her work, too. Here’s the exclusive deets on her fall collection from F/W correspondent D. of FerOHHHsh.com.
For Pamella Roland’s Fall 2010 Collection, Roland was inspired by venetian glamour, translating this influence to reality through the use of luxe fabrics, decadent colors and crystal embellishments. There was an Art Deco vibe to some of the beaded dresses; gorgeous bias cuts and draping (signature of Roland), and plenty of gowns that would do a red carpet proud. Standouts were a purple dyed fox fur, jewel-encrusted legwarmers, and the finale dress with a train of laser-cut 3D flowers, which was so epic the model herself got twisted up in it during her runway turn (she freed herself shortly, lol).
For hair, Paul Labrecque ran Repair Finish through hair to add shine and polish before creating a deep side part and pulling hair up into a side ponytail. On the face, Tayaba Jafri for Laura Mercier prepared skin with tinted moisturizer and LM secret camouflage. Eyes were washed with peacock greens. To finish the look, lips were outlined with cherry lip liner and painted with a cherry lipstick, then topped with with plum gloss to add dimension.
P.S. Even Brooke Shields attended!
