Alternative Apparel is Comfy Chic
I’m not sure if I’ve ever expressed to you all how much I’m deeply, madly in love with Alternative Apparel. A major trend right now if you’ve been shopping anywhere lately (which you have, right?) is the super-soft tee. Wear it alone, layer it, love it. Burnout, pima cotton, destroyed – honestly, I love them all. You can’t beat comfortable fashion. In fact, I first discovered AA (um, that’s Alternative Apparel, thank you) at the beach several years ago. Since my tunic and leggings purchase, the line has really expanded.
In 2007, the label launched the Alternative Earth collection, and this Spring/Summer they’re moving beyond the basic tee and branching out with polos, pullovers and dresses. Oh my! All of the pieces are manufactured with organic cotton, recycled polyester and man-made fibers derived from sustainable raw materials such as rayon. Even the dyes are low impact. The 80s child in me makes me completely heart this off-the-shoulder “Flash Dance” sweatshirt. Add this to the list of clothing items I could totally live in every day. Swoon.
