Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week S/S 2011: Andy & Debb
By Jason Patton, Guest Blogger and Fashion Week Correspondent
Fashion label Andy & Debb presented its Spring/Summer 2011 collection in The Box (the smallest presentation-style venue at Lincoln Center) at the end of Fashion Week on Thursday, September 16. Not sure if Andy & Debb was celebrating a 22nd anniversary, but the only thing missing from this being a gigantic birthday cake with models for candles were flaming hats. Nevertheless, the presentation was apropos as the collection was on fire.
Amongst a variety of eye-catching outfits, double-stick tape required-looks included a blush pink viscose crepe plunge-neck sheath with a cape as well as a cream and black silk “Shifting String” plunge neck sheath with black satin hemline.
And kudos to the models who needed to do their best mannequin impressions for 100 minutes! While it may sound easy to stand in one place for that long, you go and try it. The girls definitely earned their pay on stage for Andy & Debb – in heels, no less.
Editor’s Note: Just look at that black and white a-line in the first photo above – squeal! I am literally dyyyying over that dress – must have.
