Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week S/S 2011: Yoana Baraschi
Yoana Baraschi take me away! I just love Yoana’s pieces (in fact, I wore a dress from her collection all day for Saturday’s shows), and what I love so much about her S/S 2011 collection is that it was different than any other collection I had seen all Fashion Week long (and I mean loooong). She reinvented lots of classics from the 70s and 90s and made them new – from graphic prints and florals to chic animal prints – meow. (that one was my favorite, by the way)
Cheery hues of lemon, lavender, aqua, coral (of course – it’s the new “it” hue) mixed with more neutral gray, white and navy. We also see the floppy hat and the socks-with-heels trends. It’s a free-spirited collection, and one that is sure to make any chicette stand out on the street (and that’s your runway, right?).
P.S. Check out the last shot I captured below of Yoana herself. Isn’t she effortlessly chic?
