How I Wore My Heels…in the Snow

Last week we got snow…SNOW! Yes, NY-ers, we never get this much snow down South (six inches – holy cow!), so I had fun playing in it in my heels (er, for photos anyway, haha). No, really I found these Charlotte Ronson shearling beauties at a fav local shop last week, and they were actually great in the snow (rubber wedges are so winter chic, no?). And after being on a black kick for so many weeks, I finally branched out into COLOR. Don’t be afraid to mix and match – it can be quite fun! (Just use the same color family, please.)

Here’s how I wore my heels:
* Brown leather jacket by GUESS (I found this a few years ago at one of the marvelous coat sales at Dillard’s. It’s soooo soft, and I love the biker details like hardware around the wrists.)
* Brown cords by Pilcro from Anthropologie (looove this skinny cut – I own another pair in gray!)
* Scarf by Tolani (celebs adore these scarves, and I do, too. The tribal-inspired print is so different than the rest of my collection!)
* Purple beret by unknown brand from Paris, France (my lovely and thoughtful sis-in-law picked this up for me whilst living and teaching in the city. Best…present…ever!)
* Blue long-sleeve tunic by KensieGirl (this was something I bought on the fly in New Orleans the other week…so classic, and I love how it has pockets!)
* Shearling booties by Charlotte Ronson (found these for 50-percent off, and even though they are a size too big, they totally fit because of the top straps. One of my fav designs, and I get TONS of compliments on these already!)
