Oakley seems to have taken a cue from the brightness of a summer fruit bowl with their 2011 summer shades collection. Juicy, clear pops of color are a welcome addition to the stylish frames and a fun way to brighten up any look, especially in the summertime. With colors like watermelon, orange and lime, texture reminiscent of jelly beans and fashionable shapes, including the coveted cat eye and over-sized Jackie O, fashion-forward shoppers will surely be vying for a pair of Oakley sunnies this season.
The newly-released Frogskin collectors’ edition shades in neon orange, yellow and pink are perfect for this summer’s music festivals. Classic Oakley enthusiasts will surely be loyal to the tried and true wrap-around and aviator styles - as well as summer-friendly board shorts, bags and flip flops.
P.S. The summer preview was held at the gorgeous Raffles L’Ermitage rooftop pool in Beverly Hills. Rapper and Celebrity Apprentice star Lil’ Jon spun upbeat tunes alongside actress Taryn Manning. (And yes, the last photo is none other than me wearing my new shades!)
