Sponsored Post - Mom’s Moves: 5 Indescribably Good Ways to Impress Your Family

I'm writing this right now thinking I so wish I had an Oreo (in the new Peanut Butter Creme, natch) to go with this blog post. Mmmm...But alas, I don't. So, I'll just pick up some tomorrow, haha. My mother-in-law has actually been in town all weekend (hold your comments, moms!), so I've been thinking about my favorite way to impress family. C'mon, you know you like to try to dazzle your family when you can. My top five ways?

1. Always write thank you notes.
Guess it's the southern gal in me, but even if it's your mother-in-law gifted you a pair of socks, a little handwritten note sent via snail mail goes a long way.
2. Give something small.
Everyone loves a nice little gift, right? It doesn't have to be anything large, even if it's a tester of perfume or tiny jar of eye cream. I know my mother-in-law appreciates it when I hand over any extra beauty booty from my ever-flowing drawer. Remember, it's the thought that counts.
3. Lend your ear.
Sometimes it's hard to stop for a minute and just "be" with your family. Put down the iPhone and (ahem) the laptop and have a nice dinner (that you cooked!) where everyone shares something from the day. It's old-fashioned - and it's fun!
4. Do the unexpected.
If you always cook during the week, offer to take everyone out. Or if you always eat out, cook an extra-special meal for everyone.
5. Serve something sweet.
It's the fastest way to someone's heart, no? You can do a lot with an Oreo, too. Put them on a plate in the shape of heart. Decorate them with red icing. Get creative!

A Note from Oreo
There’s Oreo creme under that fudge! Oreo Fudge Cremes are a thin, fudge-covered cookie with an Oreo creme twist. Try them in Original, Mint and now Peanut Butter Creme and Golden!
