Redken Nature’s Rescue: Escape to the Beach
Psst…I have a little secret. I don’t blowdry my hair quite as often as I used to…oy. Secret’s out. When I’m on vacay soon, I prob won’t blowdry it much at all. Besides the fact that I’m lazy, it’s been almost 100 degrees down south every day – whew! As you know by now, I love trying new shampoos like I try on shoes. The latest is courtesy of Redken from the new Nature’s Rescue line, and it’s called Refreshing Detox Shampoo ($16). I love it!
It’s Redken’s first sulfate-paraben-silicone-free line of products, and I commend them for that because most brands don’t offer one. Obviously, it smells so fresh and beachy (which wins me over instantly), but it feels so lightweight it’s like water trickling down on your scalp. (I think because of this “no lather” I might use just a tad too much, but hey!)
I like to use this shampoo primarily when I let my hair air dry because it really brings out the nice, wavy hair I love so much during the summer (I used to think it looked messy, but now I actually think it looks pretty darn good!). But, I’ve also blowdried my hair with it and it came out just as great.
The formula is a mix of sea algae, soy protein, aloe vera and oceanic colone fragrance. Mmmm….I feel like I’m at the beach already.
P.S. The rest of the line includes a deep conditioner, sea polish and sea spray (of which I am def taking with me to the beach!).
