Ask me who is my fav Hollywood gal and I will answer Nicole Richie, beyond a shadow of a doubt. I can't help but crave her chic boho sense of style, wanting every bit of her closet, not to mention her ability to look so darn cute in all of it (she's a modern-day gypsy and I want to be her)! Nicole has so many fashion ventures these days (I lived in her maternity collection a couple of years ago!), but Winter Kate is by far the most sophisticated (and high-end, natch...$78-$595). I had a chance recently to view the entire fall lookbook, but these three looks caught my eye. The "Pixie Dust" dress above is waaaay short, I know (eek!), but wouldn't you love to add a great pair of tights or even skinnies? I'm never much of a red girl, but this dress just might be life-changing!
"For Fall 2011, the Winter Kate collection was inspired by the style icons of the late 60s and early 70s, such as Penelope Tree, Peggy Moffitt and Edie Sedgwick. The mod and minimalist pieces are paired with kimonos and bed jackets with a Far East influence." --from the official press release
The look just below is the "Black Magic" shirt and "Buttercup" shorts. I'm not so sure I could come close to pulling this off as chic, but can def see some of you rocking it (especially, Nicole herself!). I just fell in love with the fluid draping and how crisp and clean it is...fall doesn't always have to be so harsh, no? The last look is the "Starlight" robe, "Tiger Lily" blouse (and same shorts), and I love all of the fringe, obvi. I think fringe is going to make a huge comeback (or wait, did it ever go away?) this fall, so be ready, chicettes. This is the piece to own. Work it, own it. You heard it here.
P.S. So glad I decided to grow out my hair because it will look ravishing with these pieces. Getting.excited.NOW.
