Holy handbags. I now know what I need in my closet...a bag from Linea Pelle. I'm obsessed (as in can't stop staring at the brown bag juuuust below...whew...it's hot in here). I just went through all of the accessories for the upcoming fall season, and these four really struck my fancy. The red bag above (Dylan Quilted Chevron Large Speedy) is completely unique in color (I don't think I own a red handbag?), yet classic because, hello, it's quilted! And contrary to belief, everyone needs a white handbag like the Dylan Medium Tote ($435) below. When I carried mine last season, I got more compliments on it than any other bag - really! The square frame on this style is exactly like the bag I carry now, and I love how it sits on my body - comfy.
Perhaps, my fav is the brown Alex Zipp Speedy ($450). It couldn't be more me. The shade is a neutral go-with-anything-hue and it's plenty roomy for the extra shoes I like to carry around (yes, I really do this sometimes!). It's a good size, too, because it's not obscenely large (some folks carry some monstrous bags, ugh.). Of course, I'm loving. those. tassels.
The last bag is the Alex Zipp Large Crossbody ($235), a great "extra" bag for anyone to have on hand (er, shoulder). They're oh-so-chic now, too, so it's really a must-have on all accounts. This one is actually the "sister" bag to the Alex Zipp Speedy. So, in essence, I should probably have both my closet. Am I right? Shrugging my shoulders...
P.S. Linea Pelle is actually more than handbags, although that's our fav part. They carry wallets, belts and bracelets, too! (ok, we do a have weakness for the LP bracelets as well...) You can find them at such haunts as Saks, Henri Bendel, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale's. And, of course, specialty boutiques everywhere.
