Someone's gearing up for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and that someone is ME. It's been a year now since I've visited the city (NYC, that is), and absolutely can't wait to get back and give it a big ol' hug. I'm certain it's missed these peep-toes pounding the pavement. (I just hope everyone is all right in this impending hurricane scheduled to sweep in this weekend!). For now, Fashion-Week-loving-chicsters, I leave you this weekend with the inspiration behind Tracy Reese's spring 2012 collection. Sounds gorgeous!
For spring 2012, designer Tracy Reese is inspired by a land of pure delight. Softly voluminous styles pair with lean, refined silhouettes, evolving proportions with a focus on modern fluidity.
“A feminine yet relaxed mood is achieved through the juxtaposition of romance and sport, comfort and flattery. Subtle hues of khaki and blush mixed with pastel shades of waterfall, misty blue and aqua tears gradually intensify to deep saturated tones and neon brights, making a bold splash for the transition into summer. A drapey culotte jumpsuit in waterfall, complimented with drawstring waist and seductive neckline details, pairs with a lemon zest hat and printed platform sandals to embody the relaxed mood of the season." --Tracy Reese, designer
