Lacoste was quite possibly my most-anticipated show this season. I was so blown away and excited after seeing what Felipe Oliveira Baptista did for spring that I couldn't wait to see the fall collection.
There were three enclosed "snow globes" in the center of the runway and once the show started they turned those beauties on and it became a winter wonderland. So very cool! With this collection, you get the feeling you're about to go skiing down the slopes of Vail or Aspen. Watching the show, I seriously wanted to trade in my heels for ski boots on the spot. Oops.
The looks all have some sort of an urban feel - think rugby-meets-ski-suit - with a tight (almost second-skin!) look to them. Baptista plays a little with trims and versatility this season, which means zippers aren't just used for function, but also for a little added touch. One of my favorite pieces is a dress with sleeves split up to the shoulder, creating the illusion of a cardigan being draped across the shoulders. Very country-club-chic!

I couldn't take me eyes of the runway. Each look was just as fabulous and amazing as the previous one. Since Baptista's entry into Lacoste, this line has become a contender for consistent and on-the-mark fashion. Though their infamous pique polos are the most recognizable for the brand, what Baptista has done for spring and fall will have you looking to outfit your closet with more than just polos from this fashion house.
