Josie Maran Argan Oil
If you haven’t tried the Argan Oil from Josie Maran Cosmetics, it should be on your “bucket list.” It’s a lightweight miracle worker for the skin, hair and nails. And it’s especially amazing for those with skin conditions like eczema (I’ve heard too many amazing stories about how this is one of the only products that will work – if you have eczema, you understand how truly difficult it is to combat!).
What JM’s argan oil does is it helps all that itchiness because it moisturizes and nourishes the skin. It also makes the redness go away, which is another major plus, no? Just dab a few drops in your hand and then rub where you need it (under the eyes? raising both hands…) – as simple as that. It’s also the most amazing trick for flyaways (mostly in the winter, but even throughout the year), and you can even leave it in your hair overnight on your split ends for a new you in the morning (well, restored hair, anyway!).
If you have decent nails (which I don’t…bashful face), use it to soften your cuticles. What’s more, the oil is grown organically in Morocco. What’s not to love about this product, right? Josie Maran is a model, but also a mom and she cares a lot about what ingredients go into her products…one of the many reasons why I’m such a fan. (She does dub her company as “committed to creating Luxury with a Conscience beauty products that are both good for you and safe for the Earth.”)
P.S. Just last month, I was provided samples of three special-edition bottles of argan oil that support three charities (the “Model Citizen Argan Oil Collection”). Josie’s design supports Women for Women International, which gives women survivors of war tools to become self-sufficient. Model Petra Nemcova’s bottle supports the Happy Hearts Fund, dedicated to rebuilding schools and restoring hope and opportunity in the lives of children after natural disasters. And finally, supermodel Angela Lindvall’s bottle supports Healthy Child, Healthy World, which ignites the movement that empowers parents to protect children from harmful chemicals.
