Shhh...Heels That Are Quiet?

Just looks at this adorable shoe! And shhhhh...it's QUIET. No, really! When I was approached by New York-based shoe designer Mary Arnett about her Ssh-oes label, I was def impressed. A pretty shoe that doesn't make the clacking noise that can be so, so embarrassing (remember The Clackers from The Devil Wears Prada??)? I had to know more.

So, I was sent the black suede Kate peep-toes (shown here, $149) to try out for myself. First of all, I couldn't believe the comfort. The slingback style has an elastic strap to go behind the foot (made of a "blister-free" Lycra, as Mary calls its) - and it's really easy to slide on when in a hurry (which I always am). It also has a memory foam padded insole and a four-inch-heel that doesn't even seem so because of the comfort. I mean, really. Why can't all shoe labels do the comfort thing?

Obviously, the coolest part of Ssh-oes is the patent-pending noise-reducing heel lift that reduces the noise the shoes make, and prevents against wear and tear (it also acts as a shock absorber). Of course, you can still hear the heels on the ground (duh), but it's a much more pleasant sound, might I add. (We have hardwood floors, so part of my "testing" was walking around and around the house...haha. Funny picture, right?) Proof you don't have to have the obnoxious clacking sound to be chic in your heels. In fact, it makes you that much chicer. Shhhh...

  1. I would love to own these silent shoes! I loveee my peace and quiet(I could probably be a monk and live in complete silence, honest) and if I had a gorgeous shoe like this where I could go out and take my peace and quiet with me, would be complete winning! I really want to own these!
