Loving the ASH Jalouse Ankle Bootie
Just when I thought ASH Footwear couldn’t get any more awesome (they are, after all, the mother of affordable wedge sneakers), I realize they make an ankle bootie. Sahhhhh-woon. Elle Macpherson has been wearing the Jalouse ankle bootie in dark camel at the Miami airport.
Once spring/summer hits, I sorta tuck away all of my heavy boots and pull out the peep-toes. But you know one shoe that’s forever…one I wear year-round? Yup, it’s the ankle bootie. It’s the most versatile “heel” in my closet, perhaps, because I wear them with skinnies (Elle wore with a cool tie dye, by the way) and I wear them with cut-off shorts. They also look rather cute with a short skirt! Dress them up, dress them down. This camel hue is gorgeous because while you can wear it with brown or white, the contrast with black is also stunning!
During my last trip to New York, I wore my ankle booties as my go-to shoe to get around town. Just enough heel to give a little oomph, but still incredibly walkable. The ASH Jalouse is cute, cute, cute and retails for $195. Go get ’em, girls! (err, but not the size 6, please…)

I absolutely love your blog! but still being in school I have limited funds to further my shoe obsession. Are there any stores or websites that you would suggest for shoes that replicate the designer brands at more affordable prices ? Thank you !

Thank you, Mickey! I absolutely love Forever 21 for very inexpensive on-trend pieces, but also the Gap has really brought out some amazing things lately. ALDO is very affordable for shoes that don't break the bank! Also try TJMaxx, Marshall's and DSW. xo
