Whiny Wednesday: With the Band

From the moment I met the toy brand PlanToys, I've been obsessed. And so has little C.! This past Christmas was the first time we bought something from the brand, and I'm just so happy with how eco-friendly and adorable the toys are - all at the same time. It's bliss! So, as you can imagine, I was over the moon when they offered to send this Musical Band toy. It just arrived last week, but it's already up for a review because little C. LOVES it. There's no doubt in mind this is one of his fav things now and will be for awhile (yeah, I'm investing in some fancy ear plugs, never fear...).

The moment he opened the box and saw what it was, his face lit up. Boys and their toys, right? I cringed when I saw I had to put it together, then laughed when I realized it was literally four sticks that had to be put in their place. So easy. The size of this set (13 inches) is just perfect for a three-year-old because little C. can sit right in front of it, no problem. The only problem we have had? Um, little C. likes to bang the cymbal to make it fall off the stick it rests on. I'm teaching him more gentle ways, and he's slowly getting the hang of it. Insert eyeroll.

The drums are high quality and I'm finally learning what to call the "thing in the middle where you rub the drumsticks." It's a guiro - and it's fun! We like to make up songs and he's starting to do this skipping thing around the house, so I'll beat the drum while he does it. So much toddler fun, I know I'll miss these days some day, so I'm embracing my inner kid as much as I can. (Yes, I sorta like this drum set as much as little C.) Shrug.

P.S. You might want to hide this toy before bedtime, unless you want it to be the first thing you wake up to in the morning. Just saying...
