How I Styled My Bump: Four Months
As promised, another round of pregnancy style photos (hands in front of my eyes, taking a deep breath). THIS is me stepping way outta my comfort box – and I thought posting everyday photos was challenging enough. Let’s face it, getting dressed during pregnancy just gets harder and harder and if you’ve ever experienced it, you know. (insert fist bumps) As I looked in my maternity closet from my first pregnancy, I nearly gagged at what I wore. This time around, I’m trying to do things a wee bit more stylish. And although this is a maternity top I’m wearing here (it was actually cool enough to wear long sleeves this weekend!), so far I’ve been wearing mostly oversized “regular” tops. I did, however, finally break out the maternity jeans and I’m overjoyed at the comfort. Yet, I don’t feel like I’m sacrificing my style one bit. You can wear skinny jeans while pregnant. Oh, and wedges. 😉
Here’s how I styled my bump (yes, the temporary title for the next six months):
– Blue maternity tee gifted by Michael Stars (this is a brand that’s truly been a lifesaver with their one size fits all motto…this is actually the only “maternity” piece I own from them! I was pregnant here and you didn’t even know it ;))
– Avedon skinny (maternity) jeans gifted by Citizens of Humanity (I own the non-maternity version of these, so I knew these would be great. They have a belly panel that covers the entire belly, which I love, and I’ll be able to wear this style all winter with boots.)
– Geometric necklace gifted by JewelMint (love the long length on this!)
– COOL wedge sneakers by ASH…straight from the Soho store! (you know my love for these…gonna be living in them during pregnancy) Um, and P.S. these are HALF the price I paid on final sale and cute, cute, cute…great, now I want them.
