Whiny Wednesday: Holiday Dress Shoes
pediped will always hold a special place in my heart because one of little C’s first pairs of baby shoes was from the line. It’s absolutely adorable, and great for those first walkers. But, beyond that, we’re now getting into “big boy shoes” (sob), and besides the run-in-the-mud shoes I don’t care about for everyday, he was absolutely needing a nice pair of shoes to wear to church Sunday mornings (I must admit, before these were sent, he once wore his orange tennis shoes because he outgrew the RL sandals he had been wearing. Gasp, I know.)
This style is the Daniel ($60) and I find it adorably cute because they look just like daddy’s shoes he wears to work everyday. In fact, that’s how I get him to wear them, ha! Trust me, getting toddler boys to wear shoes they’re not accustomed to, comfy/cute or not, is not an easy task. If yours is in between sizes like mine, I highly rec using the Flex Fit System, which provides additional insoles that can be placed inside the shoe for a snugger fit (since these are slip-on, it’s highly likely). This system is pretty awesome because once he doesn’t need them anymore, you can take them out and he can still wear the shoe…it extends shoe life by up to half a size!
And since these are black (they also come in dark brown), he’s able to wear them with tons of things, and the style is classic, he looks soooo grown up. (once again, sob) I mean, penny loafers? On little C? It’s just too much! They’re really the perfect shoe for this holiday season with so many events and so much dressing up!
And if you have a girl, don’t worry. Check out the boots and Mary Janes below. Double swoon. They make great holiday gifts for lil’ ones…so stylish. And every girl (big or small) loves a new pair of shoes. 😉
