It’s Official: I Have Allergies
Ahhh…the lovely season we call spring. Until recently, my allergies never bothered me too much. But over the last couple of years, it seems like they’ve gotten worse, so a couple of weeks ago I decided I’d finally get tested to make it official.
The results? I’m allergic to dust mites (can you say eww?), lots of trees, lots of weeds…and cats. I pretty much knew this, but it’s now official. What’s crazy is just before my test, about a few weeks earlier, I had received a new pillow to review from my fav organic brand naturepedic. (baby L has this mattress brand and we love!) This new pillow has been amazing for my allergies because it’s organic and keeps out dust mites…literally.
This organic pillow I’ve been testing out is, in fact, divine. I’m not kidding you when I say I don’t have neck problems anymore. I visit the chiropractor every couple of weeks and I swear with the help of that and my new pillow, I don’t ever have any more neck pain. It’s the best thing ev-er.
Finding the right pillow can be tricky and I like this one for its support. It’s not limp at all…not flat at all…but not fluffy either! It’s really and truly supportive and that’s the best term I can use for it. (In fact, I have to keep it on my side of the bed for fear of D. trying to steal it!)
I just love that it’s organic cotton and it’s not going to send me sneezing! And with the way it’s made (it’s so sturdy!), I’m certain I won’t be needing a new pillow for quite some time, which is nice. (Except I might if little C has anything to do with it as he’s been “borrowing” it lately. They do have a toddler size pillow available that would be amazing for kids!)
Now…the allergist suggested a waterproof mattress cover, so on to that next! Thank you, naturepedic, for helping me rest better (and thank you baby L for loving your naturepedic mattress and sleeping in your crib! Could you just do it all night?).
