How I Wore My Heels: Alys Beach
Gosh, the salt waters of the sea…I honestly think salt water is the cure for anything. It’s been an entire week now of our beach vacay on 30A and I’m so happy. This is my happy place and no place I’d rather be. We spent last week at Seaside, a quaint little town that’s amazing for the kids. They loved every bit of it, as usual. And this week we’re enjoying Rosemary Beach, which is just down the highway. I took a little break myself over the weekend to take these photos in Alys Beach (see yesterday’s post). The architecture in each town is quite breathtaking, but there’s something about the white iconic simplicity of Alys that gets me every time (oh, and the fact that they have a donut truck).
I found the cutest house called L’Hotel (last house on the left) to take these photos and now I’m thinking I must stay here. It’s just next to a bridge with a stream and a fountain and so private. It’s the most perfect house with these amazing blue doors. I truly found a cottage crush here.
Lately all I’ve been wearing is Trina Turk (literally my swimsuit as well). It’s great for summer and really puts me in that beachy mood. So when I leave here I’m thinking I’m def gonna need some TT to leave my spirits. I found this gorgeous romper (among many others I want, want, want…I think Trina is the queen of the romper these days) at Dillard’s Park Plaza, and have received so many compliments. And the Totsi wedges by Vince Camuto are my idea of the perfect beach shoe because I’ve had many different “beach dates” where I wanted to be a little fancier. Romper + wedges = summertime perfection.
Have a chic week! xoxo
