H&M Beauty Launches, Squeals Begin
I think the first moment I *really* got excited about beauty (besides all those moments I played in my meme’s makeup box she kept in a cabinet in her laundry room…I swear she kept this box just for me and hid the good stuff!) was in 2009 when at my very first fashion week show and I went backstage and interviewed all the top makeup artists. Surreal moment, indeed. Tina Turnbow talking about mascara? Yes, please.
At the time, my blog was formed via a beauty network of bloggers. And honestly? I had no idea what I was doing back then, but I l-o-v-e-d it! And when I look back I’m so proud of how I pushed myself to make those amazing memories happen. I kinda felt, well, SCARED backstage. I mean, it’s where things really happen.
So I’m not really sure how any of us survived without H&M Beauty for so long, but now we’ve gotten it, girls. Over 700 (!) products just hit shelves. It’s not only face, eyes and lips, but haircare, bodycare, brushes and tools. Squeal!!
H&M recently celebrated the launch of H&M Beauty with celebrity makeup artist Vanessa Scali at the Herald Square flagship store. Drawing from trends in both beauty and fashion, Vanessa created 4 fun looks inspired by those of this season’s runway – Bohemian, Victorian Gothic, Graphic and Classic Glam.
It’s all available now at H&M Herald Square and will roll out in 90 additional US stores, 900 stores worldwide, and online at hm.com. All under $25!! Get in my makeup bag.
