A Sneak Peek at Tracy Reese’s Summer Collection
Down south, spring has sprung! Today was a gorgeous day in the 70s and I even rolled down my windows to catch the breeze. Even more so, I enjoyed my first full day of wearing hues of peach, my J.Crew cocktail capris and new floral heels.
Most of the time, my spring and summer outfits meld together since where I live, spring tends to last, say, a few weeks and then it’s 85 degrees and my bathing suit has practically becomes my wardrobe.
But there’s something about summertime that makes me want to r-e-l-a-x – even more so than spring. It’s all about lounging by the pool, sitting on the back patio with friends and family and walks at the park or around the neighborhood. And especially outdoor shopping with friends!
So let’s talk trends. This summer, it will be all about tribal prints, trust me. You will want to put yours hands on something wild like this halter frock from plenty by Tracy Reese ($220). The pale iris color is both pretty and feminine, and the tribal print balances it by adding a little tougher edge. I love how the bodice crisscrosses to form the halter style – almost guaranteed to flatter anyone. Pull your hair up to really show off your features. Style Tip: Wear this dress to work with a denim jacket or brown cardigan and these espadrilles…and dance into the night by adding a pair of nude stilettos (they make your legs look longer!) and shedding the jacket.
