The Debut of Whiny Wednesday! Coming-Home Outfits to Nursing Bras & More
Well, I got through yet another appointment today – yea!! Even though it meant no cupcakes on my birthday yesterday (had the procedural diabetes test, yuck), today can be my birthday again, right? That’s what I thought. Cupcakes await me. I’ve only got a few more months ago, and with that anticipation, I thought I would start sharing with you my favorite mom-to-be and new mom picks leading up to delivery (and beyond, as time permits). So, this week marks my weekly column – Whiny Wednesdays.
I want to start off by saying, wow! There are so many decisions an expectant mother has to make – from the color of the nursery to what to bring your new bundle of joy home from the hospital. This is exactly why I’m loving Serena & Lily‘s Take Me Home gift set ($68). So easy, and still so sweet! It’s 100-percent organic (which I love for baby C.) and comes in this beautiful little box with everything you need – gown, hat and swaddling blanket. It comes in Punch, Grass and Indigo (my choice), and I am loving those sweet little tassels – swoon. The box even has space for your baby’s photo and a place to write the birth deets. When I saw this, I knew immediately this was “the outfit.”
Now, as for me lately? Choosing new bras have been one heck of a time. So far, I’ve been pretty lucky in what I’ve stumbled upon (can you say sale?!), but I had been waiting to find the perfect nursing bra. Enter Bravado Design‘s Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra ($49). It’s an absolute fav of celebs like Jennifer Garner and Angelina Jolie (who has one in each color, of course), and I’ve already tested out my black version. So nice! It’s seamless, so it’s invisible, but the main thing is it’s comfortable. It comes complete with nursing clips that detach and attach rather easily. If you’re interested, there’s a sizing chart to make ordering easy. They even have a color called “Lip Gloss.” How chic! Plus, the stretchy design makes it where I can wear it now, and months away after delivery. Love those wardrobe pieces with longevity, don’t you?
P.S. Come back next week for a chance to win a chic nursing gown by Glamourmom!
