NY Fashion Week Spring 2010: Alice + Olivia
This season’s collection, “the power of the female,” was no different (just so sad I couldn’t make it to see in person – last year at the store was a BLAST!). Celeb fans like Lindsay Lohan and Nicky Hilton, showed up for support, and as you can see, Linds is still rockin’ the fedora.
Hair was by the fab Frederic Fekkai and make-up by MAC. French girl band, The Plastiscines, performed the show, and I heard they rocked the house! Cleverly unique and both sweet and sexy, the A + O spring collection is both sugar and spice. “Playful with an edge,” as Stacey describes it.
There’s plenty of black and white, of course (what girl can live without, really?). But, also check out the new pretty pinks and purples to soften things up. Basics get a makeover in soft, butter-like fabrics, linens and metallics. Floral tops, structured jackets and embellished tops look sexy with Stacey’s newest shoe line from Payless. Check out these amazing platforms!
Plus, this year marks the launch of Stacey’s high-end collection – hand-worked pieces in luxurious fabrics to be sold in A+ O specialty stores. It’s an exciting time in the world of Alice + Olivia, no?
