NY Fashion Week Preview: Fall/Winter 2010
NY Fashion Week is fast approaching – eek! I Heart Heels will be there with four correspondents “on the scene.” We’re bringing exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage for the Fall/Winter 2010 collections of at least 20 major shows – squeal! I’ll post a final listing of the shows as the dates get nearer. And here is a sneak peek at some of my fav designers (psst…we are already confirmed for Rebecca Taylor!).
Rebecca Taylor
The lowdown: 70s Parisian mixed with NYC girl. Classic sportswear with a twist. Fem designs with a subtle edge. Faux furs, quilted coats and a palette of dusty hues, new neutrals, military olives and hints of gold.
The lowdown: Rustic Prince of Wales checks, distressed faux fur and stretch suede styles. Cosmetic-toned lingerie and soft alpaca sweaters.
Milly by Michelle Smith
The lowdown: Inspired by the artsy, chic girls of Paris’ Left Bank. Combo of luxe fabrics, clever techniques and cool attitude.
Elie Tahari
The lowdown: An homage to the great women who traveled the globe in style.

I love fashionable items, I just hate the fact that I can never dress up the way I would like to due to the fact that I live in snow country and it is almost impossible to get any real outfit on without freezing or killing myself for not having the proper boots. All I can do is look and dream.
