Project Runway Winner Becomes Head Designer of Fluxus
I am dyyyying over Fluxus tees lately – insanely chic! I have one of the burnout tees (which I am saving until it’s just a little warmer) and I also have this amazing cowl neck top that looks crazy-wierd on the hanger, yet soooo completely flattering and cute on the body (never judge a piece of clothing on its hanger)! So, I’m so excited to tell all of you Project Runway fanatics (like me) that past winner (2006) Jeffrey Sebelia has been appointed head designer for Fluxus – hip, hip hooray!
Everything is between $60-200, and I’ve posted a couple of pieces from his spring collection, including a gorgeous gray tank and an edgy batwing biker jacket. The jacket uses sheer wax fabric meant to look like leather (the same technique he’s been using onstage for musicians like Marilyn Manson!). Do you like? You could wear these two together, no? It’s exciting because not only is he updating the Fluxus classics, he’s also introducing a line of knits in all kinds of fabric shapes and cuts. Can’t wait to see which celeb rocks one first – will it be Rachel Bilson, Lauren Conrad or Jessica Alba?
