Out of all of the shows at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week this season, I think I most looked forward to the Charlotte Ronson collection. Seriously. There is always so much hype, it seems, over this show, and I wanted to see it for myself (plus, you know I love a good celeb spotting now and then!). Charlotte's style is much more laid-back than other designers, and so it def makes it easy to watch (I was practically picking out what I could see myself hanging up in my own closet!). From the opening poppy silk slip dress to the last look, a black silk embroidered tank with ruffle sleeves paired with a black silk embroidered long skirt with tiered ruffles, each look that headed down the runway caught my attention. It was a mix of floral, khaki and chambray with a hint of soft yellow and classic black. I nearly died when I saw the silk romper paired with a plaid oversized shirt and grannie booties (with black leather cutouts, no less). So CR. The mix of chambray with silk was amazingly genius, and anything black, of course, I would totally wear.
Hair was by Jeanie Syfu for TRESemme, and make-up by Gilbert Soliz and the Sephora PRO Beauty Team. And music? By DJ and twin sister, Samantha Ronson, of course. I was sitting near the sound booth, so caught this shot of Sam below. Also, Allison Brie of Mad Men and singer Josh Groban attended the show, and I snapped a couple of quick photos of them.
P.S. The afterparty was that night at Avenue and it was off the hook. No doubt, one of the hottest parties of Fashion Week. We breezed by Russell Simmons on our way inside (and on my way to the pizza!) and rubbed elbows (literally) with Scott Disick, Kourtney Kardashian's beau (no Kourtney in sight-shhh). The place was packed, and so much fun. The music was great, and I even got to tell Charlotte a quick congrats on her amazing new collection. - xoxo
