How I Wore My Heels…in the French Quarter
UPDATE: So apparently, I made an oopsie. Which is common for people, right? I took this photo in front of Brad and Angie’s NEIGHBOR’S house. Hahahaha. It’s all so funny now (ok, really I’m rolling over in my grave). I honestly did see Brad and Angie’s next door (it’s white), but it didn’t have an address, thus my photo in front of this one. (Smacking my head…of course it didn’t have an address.) The rest of my post stands true…I heart these wedges soooo much. Even if they were photographed in front of the neighbors of Jolie-Pitt. Please forgive me, and watch for next week’s post that won’t be so star-studded…
So, as promised, here I am on my trip to The Big Easy last week…in the heart of the French Quarter…right smack in front of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s part-time abode. Can you believe it?! Oy, I’m such a celeb stalker. No, really I couldn’t resist because it was right around the corner from our hotel. A lady got out of a cab and went behind the gate I’m standing in front of in these photos (the parking is back there). Housekeeper? Ah, I’m kicking myself for not striking up a convo with her, but alas. I did have a jolly good time kicking around the city all afternoon in these beautiful new booties I found at TJ Maxx last month. They really are comfy, although after about five hours, I was starting to say, “all right, this is about enough!” These are the same booties I was wearing when the lady on the street took one look at me and said, “You do have shoes for later, right?” I must admit, I did slip on flats for the ballgame later. Whew.
Here’s how I wore my heels:
* Razorback tee (Go Hogs!) by Victoria’s Secret PINK (I rarely wear t-shirts, but this one was so dainty and simple, it worked. I wore a nude cami underneath, by the way, so I was line-free.)
* Cardigan wrap by Elie Tahari (This is an investment piece…goes…with…everything!)
* Black sunnies from local shop, Scarlet
* Denim leggings gifted by Vintage Revolution
* Shearling wedges by Michael/Michael Kors from TJ Maxx (these lace-ups are my new fav shoes, seriously. And for some reason I love wearing them with black/dark indigo hues – great contrast!)
