Rebecca Minkoff hosted a preview event last week for the spring/summer collection that is trickling into stores as we speak! This is a huge season for the brand that has emerged from the famous handbag line that gave us the "Morning After" bag all the way to ready-to-wear - and now, wait for it... wait for it... SHOES! Can I get some squeals for some heels!? Aesthetically speaking, all of the designs were right on target. Classic handbags with a twist, small leather goods that steal the show and a ready-to-wear line that is in every sense of the word: ready to be worn. There wasn't anything in that showroom that I could do without!
The shoes were a delight. Fun, flirty and completely feminine. (Don't all our feet want to be spoiled by that trifecta??) From smart wedges to chic flats and heels that you know we'll heart (and slightly obsess over) the shoe collection for 2011 is not to be missed!
I had the pleasure of actually speaking to Rebecca and she is a gem! Completely talented, uber sweet and seriously gorgeous. It was exciting to speak with her about the line, where it has been and what it has become. Saying I'm looking forward to the evolution of this brand is an understatement. I'm very excited for the great things to come from Rebecca Minkoff in 2011!
P.S. As are ALL of us at I Heart Heels...we're swooning over these shoes!! And thank you to ALL of you for voting for our design on Polyvore this weekend for a chance to style RM's very first fashion show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Now, all we have to do is wait and cross our peeptoes...xoxo
Handbags, handbags! We're looooving the quilted green (especially, the little pocketbooks with cute sayings like "bookworm.") The black and ivory chain bags fit in with our love for one word: fabulous.
Check out the zipper details on the back of these heels (the first pair shown above) - meow.
And, of course, who can forget ready-to-wear. We're ready to wear ALL of these outfits!
