I love everything about Rebecca Taylor's clothing (in fact, I spent a chunk of my first day in the city in her new flagship store in the Meatpacking District...in the pouring rain, no less!), so it's no surprise I really and truly enjoyed her runway show this past Friday. In fact, it was my last show of the season at Lincoln Center (had to cut this trip short...), and it went out with a chic bang. They said they were filling in the second row, so I immediately jumped on it - what a great view! Described as "contemporary, fresh and ethereal," it certainly was.
All of the cut-outs (a major spring trend) were so chic, and I loved the fresh spring colors of lemon, lime and tangerine set against the more neutral oyster. Cropped slouchy (embellished) sweaters and apron back dresses impressed as celebrities like Ashley Tisdale, Whitney Port and Louise Roe watched from the front row. What to own this upcoming spring? Long skirts. Voluminous jackets. Leather bibs as accessories. Anything Rebecca Taylor.
