How I Wore My Heels: With a Maxi Dress
I once owned a cheap maxi dress. And I’m not talking inexpensive – I’m talking poor quality. It wasn’t pretty (literally). I immediately took it back. A maxi dress to me is as much about the fabric and the quality as it is the design. You pretty much know what you’re getting style-wise (hello), so it’s important to choose a super-soft, luxe version that you just might want to live in…see exhibit A here. Love. this. dress. LAmade has always been a fav Cali-cool label of mine, if you will. So when they offered to send me some goodies, I jumped at this Maxi Cami Dress ($110). It has a belted waist to enhance the figure (although sometimes I leave it tied loosely), and it’s so incredibly soft. You could quite possibly wear this dress all the way until November down south (if you layer smartly!). And dare I say more about these wedges? They’re H-O-T. Like 110 degrees.
Here’s how I wore my heels:
* Maxi cami dress gifted via LAmade (you can also buy this LAmade dress here) (What’s great is the length on this is ok to wear with flats or wedges (I’m 5’6″) – major plus.)
* White denim jacket from J.Crew (I bought this in Dallas when I had just graduated college! It’s served me well – I love to wear it with dresses! Here’s a similar white denim jacket from the Gap.)
* Vintage necklace from local shop, Vintage Socialite
* Red strappy Jade wedges by Dolce Vita, gifted by local shop, RiffRaff (These wedges are my new BFF, seriously. The five-inch heel is unnoticeable because of the comfy platform, really! But be sure to go up one size..I did!)
