Why I Heart Marshalls
Last month, a new Marshalls store opened less than 10 minutes from my house. Danger zone, indeed. I knew something was being constructed for months, and when they finally hung the gorgeous blue and white sign that read “Marshalls,” yes I squealed. That was one glorious day, but even more so was the day it opened. I had actually already peeked inside (bashful face) before they opened and noticed right up front our store would be home to what they call a “shoe mega shop.” Lucky, lucky day. By the way, aren’t the wedges shown here amazing??
Obvi when Marshalls offered to send me a gift card to shop the new store, I was all over it (blogging does have its perks…tough job, right?). Every time I shop Marshalls (or sister store TJMaxx, for that matter), I’m drawn to the workout clothing because, well I won’t lie, I work out four days a week. So, when I’m not all fancy in my heels, I’m wearing tummy control Pilates pants from The Girls (a huge celeb fav) and a slinky tank with a crop top thrown over it. Yes, I totally admit it.
The other fav area of mine is the kid’s section because I can scoop up lots of goodies for little C. He just looks too darn cute in the little Ralph Lauren tees and shorts I find him (the tees are usually around $8 and you can’t beat that!). I also love finding Nautica polo shirts for him to wear to church and special events (otherwise, he’s always in a tee!).
Another area that’s easy to lose track of time in is the PJs. I’m such a sucker for comfy ones (wearing DKNY found at TJMaxx as I type this!), and on my last trip to Marshall’s I found perhaps my greatest PJ find – a coral pima cotton pants and sleeveless top set by Cynthia Rowley. It also has the prettiest lace back on it. The undergarments there (aka bras) are just too affordable to pass up, too. I’m not much for the home section (because I spend all my money in the clothing, haha), but I did recently discover they sell some of the cheapest K-cups on the planet ($8.99) for my new Keurig coffee machine. Sweeeeet.
The other day I wanted to go shopping and then realized the outdoor mall we have in town was closing for the day (bummer), but then realized Marshall’s stayed open late (yay!), so I hauled my heels over there and ended up finding the chicest breezy, black sleeveless top (which I’m sure you’ll see very soon!) for just $12.99. I love finds like this – and digging through the racks to find a jewel like this is most of the fun for me. 🙂
What about you…do you shop at Marshall’s – and what do you love there?

Love, love Marshall's and TJ Maxx. Their clothes selection is always what I'm drawn to. Found $17 Stuart Weitzmans at Marshalls a couple of years ago, and $29 Current/Elliott jeans at TJ Maxx last year!
Have fun at your new Marshalls!

I drive past TJ Maxx and Marshalls 5 days per week and it takes a lot of strength and determination not to stop at least weekly. I love Marshalls for their shoes and TJ Maxx for their purses.
