One Blogger's (Amazing) 'Shoe Wall'

By LeAura Luciano, Guest Blogger

Hi, everyone! I'm LeAura Luciano and I’m very excited to be guest posting here on I Heart Heels. I live in New York and am a lifestyle expert and lawyer by trade. However, I'm also a shoe aficionado. I designed the 'shoe wall' (shown above) after I tried numerous other ways to keep my shoes organized and looking beautiful.

Living in NYC doesn’t lend itself abundant closet space. So, I struggled with juggling both space and boxes in my closet only to have several shoe avalanches and mishaps. I took action and gutted my entry closet (where I was storing coats and many of my shoes) and put in shelves from top to bottom. It was great at first, but simply not enough space for all of my shoes. I started thinking about alternative storage spaces and solutions. I ended up looking at a lot of retail spaces for inspiration. I liked the idea of actually being able to see all of my shoes at the same time. And that’s how the shoe wall came to be!

In the center of the shoe wall, I decided to feature my favorite shoes, and they're the ones that I absolutely can’t live without right now! This season is all about the comfort of the wedge for me. I love my white Prada wedges - they're super summery and comfy. My other fav, the purple YSL Tribute sandal, is gorgeous for a hot night out. But, even though my two current favorites are high-end designer brands I love beautiful shoes of all prices points, especially the ones that make you feel as good as they look!

Hope you enjoyed peeking inside my shoe closet...have a great week!

  1. LOVE! I'm always looking for storage solutions to my overflowing closet. Did you have to custom build the shelving ultimately? Or did you find a retail shelving company, etc? Please tell! :) Thanks LeAura!
