How I Wore My (Snakeskin!) Heels
As I write this I’m shivering because all of a sudden our air conditioner has decided to work like crazy and, oh yeah, it’s actually felt *normal* outside as of late. As in, it hasn’t been over 95 degrees. That, folks, is amazing. We went on a nice, brisk evening walk last night and omigosh, I fell in love with the air. Something else I fell in love with this past weekend? Um, my brand-spanking new Stuart Weitzman snakeskin pumps. Can I tell you that my nose can sniff a good sale from miles away, and I found these stunners on the 75-percent-off rack for just $95 (originally $378). HELLO. I’ve always wanted a great snakeskin pump (fashion girl problems, right?), and these were absolutely meant to be. And since I felt a cool in the air, I paired them with, gasp, lightweight long sleeves! (yeah, ok, I paid for that about an hour later into this photoshoot…not quite fall yet, le sigh…)
Here’s how I wore my heels:
*Black blazer by LC Lauren Conrad from Kohl’s (I found this staple and had to have it. It’s a bit slinky, so still feels femme even if it’s menswear-inspired. I slip it on over lots. )
*Tee by LnA (you know these are my fav tees, and this one layers so well…the muted hue is so versatile!)
*Woven leather belt by Club Monaco (belts are great investment pieces and this one is a testament…I’ve had it for almost 10 years and it still looks new!)
*Zipper leggings by LnA (literally the best leggings on the planet…low rise, gold zippers, second skin…the Spandex is so much better than cotton.)
*Black/gold earrings from local shop, Masons
*Snakeskin “Rowin” pumps by Stuart Weitzman (these are actually pretty true to size, but I bought a half size larger (hey, it’s what was left!) and use inserts in the footbeds and they’re perfect. I plan to wear these year round…and even to the mailbox, wink.)
