A Dabbawalla backpack! Good thing little C. can't read blogs yet, because this is one of his Christmas presents. :) Over the next few weeks, I'll be working on the dreaded preschool application to send the little guy off to the big leagues (well, not quite kindergarten, but he'll still be wearing a uniform...eek!). I'm probably more nervous about the whole thing than he is (um, considering he doesn't quite know, haha), and you know me I live to plan. So...when I discovered Flynn Bloom (you know Orlando's boy, just a bit younger than little C.?) and his Dabbawalla, I had to check into it. Aren't they the cutest things ever?
Dabbawalla sent us this one; it's called Out of this World. I actually had little C. choose his favorite quite awhile back, and he liked this one a lot. He's really into the solar system and the moon and stars, so it's pretty perfect. (Right now this one's out of stock, but keep checking back!) little C's been wearing a pretty adorable backpack shaped like a car for the past couple of years to his mother's day out program, but alas, he is outgrowing (as much as I don't like to think about it). This one is the perfect size for preschool because it's slightly bigger than his "baby" backpack, but not a full-size, gigantic one, either.
It has a handle on top so you can even carry it like a tote, and pockets all over. The straps are pretty flexible and soft, so it should be plenty comfy (important for this age, eh?). What's even cooler is each bag is crafted individually, so they're all unique in some way. My fav part (because you don't see this in hardly any backpacks, folks)...it's 100-percent toxic free with zero lead, BPA, Phthalates and PVC.
P.S. They also have the cutest, safest lunch containers to go with...it makes the school process so easy! Err, I'm hoping that rocket really inspires him and just makes him wanna run to his new school next fall. Wishful thinking? ;)
